To those who've yet to arrive (a-gain),

Perhaps the flame of obsessive chatter should have consumed all, purged us of our love, leaving not a trace of frivolity. But in the absence of some imagined object of desire, that is not to be. So we keep on trying to re-pre-sent that which is dearly missing. Perhaps we will find instead something dearer which we weren't looking for?

Thus unfiltered, here rest all 19 issues of the now defunct Cupid's Love Letters mailing list that was moderated by Dave O'Connell from Nov 96 to mid Jan 97. This is the pre-history section with its own index.

Rising out of its ashes is the new Cupid's Love Letters at AoF mailing list. Batches of freshly posted/arrived love letters—none of which leaves us any more complete—comes in via various nodes. They come via AoF Discussion Forum and Unofficial Scritti Politti UK's News Announcement mailing list. Some are even delivered direct. Filtered by fire, fragments of the still onging chatter are deposited here weekly in the current section. To tease...
